Patrick Talcott of Dolores has received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Western Governors University (www.wgu.edu). On February 11, the online, nonprofit university held its semi-annual commencement ceremony in Atlanta, Ga., and celebrated the graduation of more than 2,600 graduates, WGUs largest class ever. The university conferred 1,583 bachelors degrees and 1,071 graduate degrees in four disciplines: Business, Information Technology, Teacher Education, and Health Professions, including Nursing. Graduates reside in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, as well as Armed Forces personnel stationed overseas.
John M. Steele, Senior Vice President of Human Resources for HCA, the nations leading provider of healthcare services, delivered the commencement address. Students and graduates who were not able to attend the ceremony were able to watch the event via live video stream on the WGU website.
