THURSDAY, FEB. 2

Ÿ An officer was dispatched to a rented mobile home in reference to a loud party complaint involving underage drinking. En route he was advised that officers had been dispatched to the same address three times within the last month and all of the calls had been about loud parties with underage drinking. Three officers contacted two males at the scene and told them to have everyone come outside. Seven females known to be under the age of 21 came out of the trailer. One of the males became very belligerent, cursing and pounding on the side of the trailer, and told officers “just take me to jail” and because of his behavior he was placed into handcuffs. The officers learned that the second male was a registered sex offender, and was taken into custody due to his drinking with underage girls. The girls were issued underage drinking citations and released to their parents. Both young men asked why they were being charged with felonies and were advised that it was because they were allowing the girls to drink alcohol within their home.

FRIDAY, FEB. 3

Ÿ A officer was dispatched to a mobile home for a report of a disturbance involving someone breaking out windows. When he got out of his patrol vehicle, a woman came from around the outside of a mobile home and told him that there was no problem at the residence and that he could leave. The officer noted that she had a lot of mud on her pants and told her he needed to make sure that everything was okay at the trailer. There was a great deal of fresh blood spots on the deck and several broken windows along the east side of the residence. The woman told the officer that no one was inside and that she did not know what happened because she had just returned home from taking a nap in some bushes. She said that she was the renter of the trailer. Another officer advised that there was a report of another woman covered with blood, and damaging mailboxes in the area. Witnesses stated that it had been a physical fight between two girlfriends at the trailer. An officer was getting information when the first woman contacted began yelling at the witness to be quiet. She told officers that she was not going to cooperate in any way. The second injured woman was taken to the hospital and asked about breaking all the windows. She was visibly intoxicated and was treated for cuts to her arms. She admitted to breaking the windows, but said that she was allowed to because she was renting the trailer and she would pay for the damages. She was advised that it didn’t work that way and became belligerent. She was charged with criminal mischief, domestic violence, and possession of marijuana. Seven windows were broken, with damages estimated to be at least $500.

SATURDAY, FEB. 4

Ÿ Officers responded to a residence in a mobile home park for a report of a person covered with blood that was knocking on doors. They found a man who had blood all over his face and clothing, and he gave the name of a man who he claimed had attacked him. The officer went to an adjacent trailer and spoke with a woman who let him in. The officer observed a large amount of blood on the kitchen floor with a hammer and a bent frying pan. The woman was very intoxicated and told the officer that three men were fighting, but she was too intoxicated to provide any additional information. The officer contacted a man who was sleeping on a couch who said that he had been sleeping and had no idea what was going on. The officer contacted another man in a bedroom who was seriously injured and bleeding from a large laceration on his chin, as well as other parts of his face and head, although he was so bloody that it could not be determined where all of his injuries were. He said he didn’t know who had assaulted him, but that he had been hit with a two-by-four in the face. The person that the first male contacted claimed had assaulted him was contacted but was able to prove that he had not been near the injured man. The injured men were evasive and uncooperative in naming the person who had actually caused the injuries. Based on conflicting statements from both victims, there was not enough evidence or information to make an arrest.

SUNDAY, FEB. 5

Ÿ Two officers were dispatched to a convenience store for a report of a shoplifter. The clerk stated that she had observed a male take two packs of cigarettes, then pick up an adult magazine from a magazine rack. The suspect then dropped the magazine on the floor, and when he bend down to pick it up, he stuffed the magazine down the front of his pants and the cigarettes disappeared. He then headed for the rest room and the clerk called police. The officers searched the suspect; the adult magazine was removed from the front of his pants, and the cigarettes were removed from a coat pocket. The adult magazine had been sealed in a plastic sleeve which had been opened, and an adult DVD had been removed from the sleeve. The DVD was found tucked into the front of the suspect’s pants. The suspect stated that he was sorry he took the items, that he felt guilty for taking them, and he will accept responsibility for what he did. He was arrested for shoplifting.
