WEDNESDAY, JAN. 25

Ÿ Samuel Iassac Morris, 18, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of unlawful use of a controlled substance. He received a deferred sentence of 12 months unsupervised probation. He was ordered to pay $884.50 in fines and costs. Defendant was ordered to violate no laws — traffic or criminal, and must keep his address current with the court.

TUESDAY, JAN. 31

Ÿ Ronald A. Higman, 47, of Lewis, pleaded guilty to one count of wildlife — failure to void license/carcass tag — bear. He was ordered to pay $234.50 in fines and costs.

Ÿ Robert A. Williams, 52, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of driving under the influence. This is defendant’s first DUI conviction. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail with suspended imposition, and to 24 months of supervised private probation. He was ordered to pay $766.15 in fines and costs, and must perform 24 hours of community service. Defendant must attend Alive at 25, Level II education, and 24 hours of therapy — Track C. He must also receive 68 hours of outpatient therapy and ADOD. He must submit to random tests for drugs and alcohol use, and must engage in treatment within 15 days of sentencing.

Ÿ Curtis J. Honaker, 22, of Lewis, pleaded guilty to one count of driving while ability impaired. This is defendant’s first DUI conviction. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail with suspended imposition, and to 12 months supervised probation. Defendant was ordered to pay $1,431 in fines and costs, and must perform 24 hours of community service prior to beginning unsupervised probation. He must attend victim impact panel, Alive at 25, Level II education and 24 hours of therapy — Track A, and outpatient therapy. He must submit to random tests for drugs and alcohol use. All standard conditions of probation apply, including no alcohol or illegal drug use, and defendant must follow all conditions of probation. Court authorizes probation to be transferred to Grand Junction.

Ÿ Susan A. Cordova, 49, of Pueblo, Colo., pleaded guilty to one count of driving while ability impaired. This is defendant’s second DUI conviction. She was sentenced to serve 10 days in jail, with an additional sentence of 365 days in jail with suspended imposition. She was also sentenced to 24 months of supervised state probation, and was ordered to pay $1,050 in fines and costs. She also must perform 48 hours of useful public service by the end of her probation. She was ordered to attend victim impact panel, Level II education and 86 hours of therapy — Track D, and outpatient therapy. She must submit to random tests for drugs and alcohol use. All standard conditions of probation apply, including no alcohol or illegal drug use. Defendant must follow all conditions of probation, and must report on sentencing date. Defendant is to serve ten days in jail; the suspended imposition of the additional 365 days of jail is a condition of completing probation successfully.

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 1

Ÿ Nancy Nalani Glinka, 40, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of having a dog at large — third offense. She was ordered to pay $1,476.50 in fines and costs. Restitution is open for 90 days.
