American Motorcyclist Association supercross racing is in full swing, and so is Eli Tomac.

The 19-year-old Cortez native is having a fast season so far. Just four races in to 2012, Tomac is on a two-race winning streak and currently leads the SX Lites West standings with 88 points.

Competing for Geico Powersports Honda factory racing team, Tomac took the checkered flag in California on Jan. 21 and 28. He won at Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium and repeated his winning ways in Oakland at Overstock.com Coliseum.

“This is my best season ever,” Tomac told amasupercross.com. “Our team worked really hard to give me a great bike, and I made the most of it. I now have a nice lead going into Anaheim.”

Tomac will take his Honda CRF250R to Angel Stadium today at Anaheim II Supercross.

SPEED Channel will air the SX Lites race live at 11 a.m.
