Experience, expert advice helped Jingle Bell Dash

I came to realize as I returned to work after the holiday break that there were two very instrumental players in the Jingle Bell Dash that I failed to mention in the thank you letter last month. The Dash would not have been as successful an event without the expert advice and trained experience of Amy Fair from the City of Cortez. Amy was key in race course detail and suggestions for running a smooth event in the city limits. She also loaned SCYC the much needed traffic cones for directing racers along roads that did not have sidewalks, as well as traffic marshal vests for the volunteers who helped get racers safely across Montezuma Avenue. Many heartfelt thanks to you Amy! And to the trained experience of many-time runner and coach of the M-CHS cross country team, Paul Koops. His advice and seasoned experience of races past helped us with getting runners off to a happy start. I regret that I did not get their names in the original thank you but am glad to be putting them together for a very special and gracious Thank You! And again, thanks to all those who participated in the Inaugural Jingle Bell Dash. We will see you next December!

Sincerely,
Cindy Houston
