The Montezuma-Cortez RE-1 School Board is debating new graduation guidelines.
I have questions regarding Mr. Wayman and the elite students at the high school. First, why was Mr. Wayman playing golf in Arizona when testing was going on at the school? His scheduling was a mess and threw the school into chaos. At such an important time, he should have been present in the school, not off improving his golf game.
Next, why is the recent plagiarism by a student for his senior paper not being addressed? Is it because of his athletic standing?
What other students are allowed a “golden pass” for such dishonesty?
