No other book has the standards or ethics and morals which are found in the Bible. It is the supreme book of all books. It is the recorded Word of God. Understanding Bible truth is designed to govern our conduct. We study that we may know. We know that we may do. We do that we may please God.

The Holy Spirit will help you to understand all parts of the Bible. Study the life of Christ, or the epistles, the books of prophecy, the great poetry of the Bible. Even the books of law and history are the messages of God to mankind. The principles in them apply equally today as in generations past. There is a blessing promised to those who seek to know the Bible. The Bible is inspired of God, and the Holy Spirit was/is the person and power in that inspiration. He, the Holy Spirit, is available to teach you all parts of the Bible and all subjects contained therein. Approach the study of the Bible in a spirit of humility, willing to be taught like a child and you will be blessed and enlightened.

All of the scriptures have been preserved and restored to their original message with scientific precision. Thus, the Word of God stands ready to be understood by anyone with the faith and desire to do so. No generation of humility has a better opportunity than that which we have today to know the thoughts of God as He revealed them down through the ages. If the student of the Bible will take every modern skill and technique of learning, and add to it his insatiable desire and faith to understand God’s Word, he will know the mind of God as no other people have yet had the privilege of knowing it. The earliest portions of the Bible were written almost 3,500 years ago. The latest portions were written almost 2,000 years ago. Yet, it is impossible to place a dollar value upon said writings. Why do we accept the testimony and truths of a book that old in measured time?

We accept the Bible because it is not the opinions of men, nor is it merely a record of what men believed about God at a particular point in history. It is a record of what God has revealed about Himself to men at various points in history. Man’s opinions change, and his knowledge increases. Man learns more and corrects his errors of the past. God does not change, nor does He make mistakes. Therefore, the Book of God is valid at whatever time in history it may have been written.

The Bible relates to us today. It is a book designed to tell us what to believe and how to behave. It ministers to the needs of modern mankind as satisfactorily as it ministered to the needs of ancient mankind. The Bible sets out divine principles to govern mankind. Those principles never need to change. The nineteenth division of the Book of Psalm, verses 7-9 describes them in these words, “The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul. The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart. The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever. The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.” The above statement can be said of every portion of the Bible. It cannot be said of any other writings of which we know.
