I bet God got a belly laugh

Dear Editor:

I enjoyed Russell Smyth’s hilariously funny, tongue-in-cheek Tebow piece in Editor’s Notes on Dec. 22. Bet God got a belly laugh from it too.

I don’t know Mr. Smyth so I don’t know whether he set out to offend or not, but from reading his other Editor’s Notes, I don’t think he did. I’m glad our Constitution defends his freedom of speech and freedom of the press.

I don’t like Tebow’s antics and don’t know why the NFL lets him get away with it. The NFL fines other players for similar antics like spiking the football after they score a TD. I don’t know whether Mr. Tebow has been fined or not, but if he hasn’t been, why not, and why doesn’t the league stop his on-field antics?
