Montezuma-Cortez High School graduate Marcus Amrine, Mancos High school senior Denver Syndergaard and Dolores High senior Jade Reynolds recently took a trip to Lockheed Martin Corp. in Colorado Springs.

The trip was planned through the Cortez Kiwanis Club, and the students shared some information about the trip at the Kiwanis Club’s meeting on Tuesday. All three students have an interest in space and engineering, they said.

One of the highlights of the trip was getting to see a Mars rover, Jade said.

“It was one of the best weekends of my life,” she said of the trip.
