The popular History Channel series “American Pickers” is returning to film in Colorado throughout July, and series leads Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz are looking for sizeable, unique collections to inspect, learn the history of, and possibly purchase.
“This is an opportunity for Southwest Colorado to showcase our beauty, history and interesting individuals. We hope to have several submissions from the public to draw the production to our region,” said Stephani Burditt, the Four Corners Film Office coordinator.
American Pickers is a documentary series that explores the world of antique “picking” on the History Channel. The hit show follows Wolfe and Fritz as they hit the back roads from coast to coast on a mission to recycle and rescue forgotten relics. Along the way, the Pickers want to meet characters with remarkable and exceptional items. The pair hopes to give historically significant objects a new lease on life, while learning about America’s past along the way. If you or someone you know has a large, private collection or accumulation of antiques that the Pickers can spend the better part of the day looking through, send your name, phone number, location and description of the collection with photos to americanpickers@cineflix.com
