The local Habitat for Humanity affiliate sold over 90 home-made apple pies and wishes to thank all who purchased one ... or more! You helped make this fall fundraiser a great success. In addition, we’d like to thank Ty Ford, Michael Morehead, and Cody Redbird, students from Southwest Open High School, for spending a whole Friday morning peeling, coring, and slicing apples. They were real troupers, with nary a complaint or glance at the clock. We could not have produced so many pies without their help. Our thanks also to the Sparks Family Farm for donating the wonderful, locally grown apples which we used.
