10:48 a.m.: A woman was arrested at Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred Road, on a warrant for failure to appear.

4:47 p.m.: A woman was arrested at Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred Road, on a warrant for failure to appear.

6:43 p.m.: A man was issued a summons in Centennial Park, 515 N. Mildred Road, on suspicion of possessing alcohol in the park.

Thursday, April 27

8:42 a.m.: Police responded to a report of a stolen license plate in the 1400 block of South Chestnut Street. The case remains under investigation.

1:11 p.m.: A man was issued a summons in Centennial Park, 800 E. Montezuma Ave., on suspicion of an open container violation and possession of alcohol in the park.

3:06 p.m.: A man was arrested outside First Baptist Church, 100 N. Market St., on suspicion of violating bond conditions.

3:34 p.m.: A man was issued a summons for trespassing at McDonald’s, 1322 E. Main St.

11:04 p.m.: A woman was issued a summons near the intersection of Jackson and Alma Streets on suspicion of driving while impaired, failure to present proof of insurance, failure to stop at a stop sign, careless driving and child abuse. She allegedly struck the curb while turning at the intersection, and her adolescent brother was a passenger in the vehicle.

Friday, April 28

8:22 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 500 block of South Madison Street on suspicion of criminal mischief, domestic violence, menacing with a deadly weapon and harassment after his wife reported he had hit her, punched holes in two doors, broken her glasses and stabbed an air mattress with a steak knife while she was lying on it. The man was treated for severe intoxication at Southwest Memorial Hospital before being transported to the jail.

11:30 a.m.: A man was arrested at Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred Road, on a warrant for failure to appear.

3:08 p.m.: A woman was arrested in the 1500 block of East Seventh Street on a warrant for failure to appear and on suspicion of speeding and driving with a canceled license. The woman was pregnant and said she was due in about two weeks.

11:25 p.m.: A man was issued a summons at Wal-Mart, 1835 E. Main St., on suspicion of shoplifting. Employees said he had attempted to leave the store without paying for a backpack, a pair of gloves, a tent, a rain poncho, rope, a tarp and four packages of freeze-dried camping food, valued at $125.44. He claimed he planned to pay for the items, but had passed the sale area because he was looking for a place to charge his motorized shopping cart.
