County sets agenda for next meeting

Montezuma County commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. Monday, April 11, at 109 W. Main St., Room 306, in Cortez.

At 9 a.m., commissioners will hold a public hearing for the purpose of considering a resolution establish a Local Improvement District and authorizing improvement to a roadway along a portion of Road 18.

At 10 a.m., commissioners will hear the monthly landfill report.

At 10:15 a.m., Lynn Milton will meet with commissioners to discuss an annual road use permit for Western Refining.

At 10:45 a.m., commissioners will meet with Slim McWilliams to discuss serving liquor at fairgrounds events.

At 1:30 p.m., commissioners will hold a public hearing for the purpose of reviewing and determining a commercial zoning request and presketch plan for a proposed single lot development consisting of 10 acres from a tract of land owned by Palmer, et al, agents Empire Electric Association Inc., Scott Ehmke and Glen Noble, consisting of 59 acres. The property is located at 26250 County Road 15, Pleasant View.

At 2 p.m. commissioners will hold a public hearing for the purpose of reviewing and determining a high impact permit request for the purpose of constructing and operating an electrical substation and 120 foot telecommunications tower on a proposed single lot development consisting of 10 acres. The proposed substation site is 2.5 acres located at 26250 County Road 15, Pleasant View.
