City Council sets meeting agenda

The Cortez City Council is scheduled to receive an update on the municipal pool renovation when it meets for its workshop meeting 6:45 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, 210 E. Main Street.

At the Council’s regular meeting, beginning 7:30, the council is scheduled to vote on several liquor licenses as well as a special event permit for the Four Corners Riding Club to conduct a fund raiser in the Parque de Vida Parking lot May 21.

Under new business, the council will consider 2010 financial statements, land lease rates at the municipal airport, and the public hearing setting for a new liquor license for the Ocean Pearl restaurant, 300 E. Main Street.

The council will also consider two resolutions regarding improvements to the 7th Street sidewalk and Mesa Trail. The combined city matching funds for the projects total $86,418.

Lastly, the council is scheduled to vote on first reading of an ordinance pertaining to the issuance of sales tax revenue refunding bonds with an aggregate principal amount of $4.9 million.
