Former Montezuma-Cortez High School student athlete Kim McKnight has signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball at Western New Mexico University in Silver City.
The Kirtland Central (Kirtland, N.M.) standout catcher is known on the field as The General.
McKnight chose WNM over fellow Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference school Fort Lewis and Northwestern Oklahoma State. She plans to go to law school after college and return to Colorado after graduating.
