Students between 17 and 20 years old who have dropped out of high school and are looking for another option to earn their diploma are encouraged to submit an application for the new Gateway to College program. The Gateway class will meet during afternoons at Southwest Colorado Community College in the upcoming Fall Semester.

Gateway to College is a partnership between the Montezuma-Cortez High School District and Pueblo Community College’s SCCC. The program empowers students to not only finish what they have started in high school but to simultaneously earn college credits toward an associate degree or certificate. They are integrated into the college environment and learn in a collaborative environment.

The application deadline is Aug. 23.

For more information, call 564-6200 and ask for “Gateway to College.”
