The Cortez Leopard Sharks swam at the Western Slope League Championships at Mesa State College in Grand Junction last weekend.
The Leopard Sharks placed 11th with 313 points out of 17 teams. The Montrose Marlins won the championship with 4,089 points.
Trenton Bagge won the boys 8U 25-yard backstroke and 50-freestyle in 22.26 and 40.56.
Other Leopard Sharks who competed were Sonny and Garret Boren, Emma Ward, Troy Thomason, Roman Winslow, Gavin Taylor, Ryan and Tyler Cutrone, Ahnna Higgins, Bryce Baumgarter, Samantha Bagge, Skyler Yarbrough and Nanabah Sam.
