Conquistador Golf Course held its annual Cortez Junior Golf Classic on Thursday, and eight champions were crowned in four boys and girls age groups that saw 59 golfers compete.
All scores are based on nine holes, except for the boys and girls 14-older division played a full 18, and the 8U groups played five holes. Boys winners are as follows: Peyton Bell, of Cortez (8U), 33, Lance Townsend, of Durango (9-10), 51, Cameron Barnhart, of Durango (11-13), 42, and Cory Gillespie, of Durango (14-older), 77.
Girls winners were, Kiana Kline, of Cortez (8U), 45, Ashley Wood, of Cortez (9-10), 67, Madison Archuleta, of Cortez (11-13), 63, and Taylor Scott, of Cortez (14-older), 115.
