The first of three Grand Summer Nights will kick off Friday, June 24 from 5 to 8 p.m. on Grand Avenue in Mancos.

To start off, the Goodnight Trail Gallery will have a “Summer Wildlife Show” from 5 to 8 p.m. Wildlife paintings, sculpture, photography and etchings from the following artists will be on display: Tiffany Stevenson, George Bumann, Veryl Goodnight, Patsy Davis, Claude Steelman, Ralph Oberg, Susan Matteson and Bill Nebeker. They will serve wine and hors d’oeuvres for the entirety of the show. For more information, go to www.goodnighttrailgallery.com.

Arborena will feature live music with Robby Overfield from 6 to 9 p.m. Overfield is an acoustic musician who blends the art of storytelling and genuine lyrics with a powerful voice to complement an encapsulating listening experience. He has been at Arborena before and is a popular musician.

The Mancos Artisans Co-op is having a new artist reception from 5 to 8 p.m. for Nancy Hains, a weaver, and Kevin Hutchins, who does visionary acrylic paintings. They are having refreshments, and several door prizes will be awarded.

Raven House Gallery will have refreshments and will give everyone the opportunity to meet the artists whose art is in the gallery.

Painted Turtle Art Studio will have a reception for local artist Bryan Kyle. His two- and three-dimensional work will be featured at Painted Turtle Studio for one month. Kyle’s art reflects his interest in nature and his study of print-making and mixed media, and a varied approach keeps it interesting for the artist and the audience. Join the crowd at Painted Turtle Studio for beverages, hors d’oeuvres and a chance to see new art and meet the artist.

The Columbine Bar will have its regular Friday evening karaoke with Steve Kahler, but it will begin at 8 p.m.

Art and Accents will be open late that evening for anyone who wants to come on by.
