We would like to thank the Ute Mountain Rodeo organization.
We take a group of our residents to the rodeo every year. This would not be possible without the help of a lot of people, starting with Sue at Citizens State Bank. She takes care of our reservations and personally delivers our tickets at the gate. She also (along with other Ute Mountain Rodeo people) arranges special parking and unloading. With 14-16 wheelchairs between our facilities, this makes the event a lot more fun for our folks, not to mention the great new grandstands that have wheelchair seating.
The help does not stop there; many folks come over to help us get the residents to their seats. It was heartwarming to see the number of young people who stepped forward to help. The respect that is shown at the rodeo to our elderly truly shows the values that go along with Ute Mountain Rodeo.
Thanks to you all for making a great night for us. Be proud, Cortez!
