County commissioners will consider zoning request

Montezuma County commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. Monday, March 28, at 109 W. Main St., Room 306, in Cortez.

At 9:05 a.m., commissioners will hear the weekly road department report.

At 10 a.m., the board will hear the monthly social services report.

At 10:15 a.m., commissioners will consider a liquor license transfer from Smitty’s Liquor to Triple H&J Inc.

At 10:30 a.m., the Lodgers Tax Committee will give a recommendation and then commissioners will appoint someone to the Lodger’s Tax board. Afterward the Dolores Chamber of Commerce will discuss the recommendation.

At 11:15 a.m., Aaron Chubick will discuss transferable development rights.

The board will hold a public hearing at 1:30 p.m. for an AR3-9 zoning request and sketch plan for a proposed single lot development consisting of 5 acres, more or less, from an 80-acre tract of land owned by Richard and Donna Bowling at 22530 County Road N. The applicants are also requesting AR35+ zoning on the remaining acreage as part of the zoning application. Commissioners will also review a notice regarding the amendment to the current reclamation permit for Stone Sand and Gravel, LLC, successor to Four States Aggregates, LLC, on property located at 21944 Colorado Highway 145, Dolores.
