In response to the recent reader (Journal, Aug. 23) who remembered when the Wark family owned the local mill, his memory is correct.
The Warks did at one time own the mill and they are the originators of the Valley Queen brand.
The Tanners kept that product name and added their own – Red Rose and Bluebird – when they purchased the mill.
