Gourd Ocean Drum with Janice T. ReichJune 11 Students will learn how to construct and decorate an ocean drum out of a large canteen gourd in this one day class. Play an ocean drum for wellness, bring in the summer solstice with the meditating sound of waves crashing onto the beach. These sounds are created when rolling a gourd ocean drum side to side and in a circular motion. Cost for the workshop is $85.
‘The Art of Seeing’ with Jeri BurzinAug. 20-21Participants will learn camera basics, the use of light, aperture, shutter, and ISO speed. We will cover composition and design tips. Find your voice in photography by exploring and applying what you learn in the beautiful surroundings of the Mancos Valley. You will acquire a better knowledge of the basic operations of your camera and learn about the elements of good composition. Cost for the workshop is $125.
