Six-year-old Zaiden Yake has already started piling up hardware as a wrestler.

The Cortez kindergartner placed fifth in the 2015 Pikes Peak Wrestling League/USA Wrestling Colorado State Championships in the 6-and-under, 37-pound division and won the 2015 Colorado All-State Youth Wrestling Championship 6-and-under 35-pound class.

So far in 2016, Yake was the PPWL 6-and-under, 40-pound regional champ, league champion and PPWL Dan Gable Challenge Award Winner.

He is ranked 10th in the Rocky Mountain Nationals 6-and-under 40-pound division, and he has just three tournaments left before chasing his dream of competing at the Cliff Keen USA Wrestling Folkstyle National Tournament in Cedar Falls, Iowa in April.
