Wasteful plow behavior was inexplicable

What a waste of gasoline! Wednesday, Jan. 7, I was outside in my driveway thinking how thankful I was that the snow was melting and noticed a city truck with a snowplow on the front of it driving by with the plow up. He went south on my road and returned a few minutes later heading north and his plow was still up.

I called my mom to tell her what an absolute waste of city dollars it was for this worker to be out driving around with his plow up. She giggled and agreed with me.

Well on Thursday the same thing happened in her northeast Cortez neighborhood except he drove by her house four times with his plow up.

I should mention her road had not been plowed since before Christmas day and really needed plowed.

She waved him down on the fourth pass and he finally put his plow down and scraped her nearly impossible road.

If the city worker needed to kill time why not park somewhere and not waste the city dollars on not plowing. I just don’t understand this waste!
