Next week, officials with the Ballantine Family Fund will outline the organizations new online grant application process.
Presentations will be made in both Cortez and Mancos on Tuesday, Jan. 5. Nonprofit organizations across Southwest Colorado interested in obtaining a Ballantine Family Fund grant are invited to attend.
“The Ballantine Family Fund trustees hope that the new application will be less time-consuming to complete and improve the information tracking process for the grants managers,” said Paige Elliott.
On Tuesday, grant officials host informational meetings at the First National Bank of Cortez starting at 9 a.m. and at the Mancos Public Library starting at noon.
Established in 1957, the Ballantine Family Fund provides financial assistance to non-profit, charitable, educational, literary, scientific or other causes that better the human condition. Proposals for projects in La Plata, Montezuma, Dolores, San Juan and Archuleta counties are eligible to apply.
Past grants have ranged from $500 to $5,000. A total of about $250,000 is awarded annually.
