Beginning in January, CASA of the Southwest, formerly CASA of the Four Corners (Court Appointed Special Advocates-CASA), will conduct training in Cortez for those interested in becoming a volunteer.

CASA is looking for individuals who want to help children during a time of crisis. CASA advocates for safe, permanent homes for children who are going through the abuse and neglect system. Trained and dedicated volunteers can help break the cycle of abuse and neglect in the community.

Montezuma and Dolores County individuals who are interested in becoming a CASA volunteer can contact Barbara Casey at bcasey@casa4corners.org or (970)564-0301.

The CASA office is at 10 W. Main St., Ste. 106, in Cortez.
