Our political elites do not respond well with empathy to the concerns of citizenry, regarding the rapidity of diminishing natural resources — especially water! Considering the process of immigration and subsequently emigration, there must be focus on the country’s increasing responsibilities to provide and sustain for the pre-established masses, and a needed review on the forthcoming economic difficulties governmental agencies could encounter with an influx of newly arrived immigrants.

Certainly, preservation and conservation of basic natural resources should be primary. Resolving the threatening condition of population out-of-control continues to be a political challenge, however mandatory, to curb economic duress and ease societal perturbations.

Lest we forget, Manifest Destiny and the Monroe Doctrine, both seeking population control (the former via emigration to lesson over-populated cities’ the latter via warfare to “curb European intervention”) within our union. And, the arms of Lady Liberty have become tired, her cap tattered in battles to secure housing, equality and divine privileges, health and nutrition for all welcomed.

Unfortunately, the Earth’s natural processes such as desertification remain a continuum for all future generation.

The immigrants – emigrants, in becoming, with their weight resting upon their shoulders, are greeted by the capitalists as taunters. They arrive to their new land of broken promises, living on the edge as the latest surge of fools, compliments of the strategic games of political chess.
