The Montezuma County Hospital District Board of Directors would like to express its gratitude – first to the team of folks who worked tirelessly to get information out to the citizenry about the proposed sales tax and why it is needed, and then to the voters who supported the initiative with their ballots.

Having an up-to-date and efficient health care system in our community benefits not only those in need of the care, but also more generally, makes ours an attractive place to live and work. It is a sign of a forward looking community. The revenue from the low impact sales tax that has been approved will make possible a number of needed improvements in the health care facilities here in Cortez, and assure that those facilities are a continuing source of pride for our town.
