Trade deal threatens Second Amendment

The top secret “trade deal” TPP is about to become a top secret law, because we the people aren’t to know what is in it for a full five years after it becomes the law of the land. At best TPP will take what few remaining “good jobs” that still exist in America and ship them overseas.

But why all the secrets if that is the worst that can happen? Because it is probably much worse than lost jobs, it is most likely lost rights (the Second Amendment comes to mind right away). Under the terms of TPP an American could conceivably be arrested, tried and convicted of a secret crime (like possessing a gun, or ammunition) and not be told what the crime is for five years.

The worst part is that our congressman doesn’t even know what is in TPP because it’s secret even from him. Our Congress is not entitled to make secret laws, as a matter of fact they aren’t entitled to keep anything official secret. We put body cameras on police officers to make sure they are following the law, time to do the same to Congress! The only places we should not be recording Congress is the bathroom and the bedroom. Other than that we should record every meeting, backroom deal and lobbyist interaction – every word available online 24 hours a day with livestreaming for each member.

Our congressman has joined Team Obama on the TPP and I don’t know about y’all, but I don’t trust him (or any of them for that matter) anymore. Instead of sitting here hoping for the best I would like to know what my congressman is really up to in Washington, I want him wired for sound and video, and I want them to have to wear patches showing corporate sponsorship like a race car driver. Anything less is continuing dishonesty.
