A woman was reportedly held at knifepoint by a baby sitter on Sunday after she tried to eat a left over pork chop.
A Montezuma County sheriff’s deputy responded to the cold disturbance call at 3:50 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 30.
A 27-year-old woman reported that her ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend had been baby-sitting her daughter inside her residence on the 23000 block of County Road F.5 while she was out drinking at a bar.
After returning home, the alleged victim told authorities that she was hungry, and she attempted to eat a leftover pork chop. That’s when the ex-boyfriend reportedly held a metal knife with an 8-inch blade to her throat.
“I’ll cut you if you touch them,” the man warned, according to a deputy’s report.
The 30-year-old male suspect and his new girlfriend fled the scene before deputies arrived.
The woman refused assistance from a victim’s advocate, telling the deputy, “I’ve been through this before with him.” But she agreed to cooperate with prosecutors and indicated that she wanted to press charges.
