Praise be to God! Our communities were blessed once again!
We, Community of Believers Church, want to personally thank: Lifeway Baptist Church (Pastor Randy Curtis), First Assembly of God (Pastor James Johnson), First Baptist of Mancos (Pastor Rick Gregory), Evangel Assembly of God (Pastor Jeff McDonell), Grace Fellowship (Pastor Todd Erlandson), Baptist Chapel (Pastor Mark Baker), and the WIC Department. We also thank the following hairdressers: Hair Headquarters, Great Clips, Salon Serenity, Event Coordinator Mandy Avis, and others who stepped up to help: Olga Ledesma, Dawn Terrenova, Marsha Roberts, Elaine Richardson, Megan Vialpando, Brenda Spurlock, and many others.
Also thanks to Shelia Nielson of Maverick for donations of candy and book reading certificates for Frozen Yogurt and Chillers. We thank each of you for participating and supporting our Evangelistic Community Outreach with the 3rd Annual B2S Bash. We were able to help 139 plus Kindergarten through fifth grade children in the communities of Cortez, Dolores, and Mancos as well as surrounding communities, receive backpacks with basic school supplies. Over 39 children also received basic haircuts.
Our mission and goal is to not only help our community children feel successfully prepared as they begin the school year, but also to bring the love and salvation of Jesus Christ to our communities. For that, we are truly blessed. John 13:35 NKJV declares that, “By this you all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” Your love truly showed and for that there is not enough thanks.
