CWGA Tee Cup Invitational
Conquistador Golf Course will be hosting the Colorado Women's Golf Association Tee Cup Invitational on Tuesday, Aug. 11.
The 18-hole, stroke play tournament is open to any women with a valid handicap.
The registration fee is $65, and interested golfers can apply at the Pro Shop or call 970-565-9208.
There will be a cocktail party on Monday, and breakfast and lunch on Tuesday.
Play will begin on Tuesday morning with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
Golf event to benefit Cortez nonprofit
The seventh annual Medicine Horse Masters Golf Event Fundraiser will be Aug. 22 at the South Forty (par 3) Golf Course, 2550 Road H, Cortez.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. The driving range will open at 7:30 a.m.; tee off will be at 8:30 a.m. The event will be a scramble with a shotgun start. The Four Person Scramble will include nine holes of golf, course drinks, lunch and hole prizes.
Some golf carts will be available for $10. If people bring their own cart, the fee is $5. Pull caddies also are available. Proceeds will help fund Medicine Horse Center therapeutic programs for area youths and families. The cost is $25 per player. Register in advance at 533-7403.
