Montezuma-Cortez baseball coaches Travis Greenlee and Tim Passell spent Thursday and Friday of last week instructing 38 youth players during the M-CHS baseball camp.

Returning senior Andrew Laymon and 2013 graduate Tallon Ralstin helped the coaches organize the campers, who ranged in age from 6 to 13.

Greenlee structured the mornings around fundamentals like base-running, bunting and throwing techniques.

“We want to focus on the little things,” he said.

Greenlee also made time for games. After morning drills, he planned skill games on Thursday and expected to split campers into teams and scrimmage on Friday.
