Porchlights will play at distillery

The Mancos Valley Distillery presents The Porchlights on Friday, July 17. Doors open at 5 p.m., and the music starts at 8 p.m., with a $3 cover charge.

"Tastes Like Friday" cocktail specials will be served.

Deb and Kneebone used to jam on the back porch at Deb's shanty on Lone Tree Drive in Flagstaff, Ariz., and what started as a casual music party became more when it was clear that there was a chemistry between the two. When jams turned into songs they hit the road and are now performing at concerts, festivals, clubs, coffeehouses and breweries in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah.

The Porchlights have released five CDs, and a sixth is in production and will feature original songs recorded at the Friendly Eddy Studios in Dolores. A new DVD has just been released that features live performances of new and classic tunes.
