Independence Day celebrations

Fireworks light up the sky as glow toys light up the Centennial Park pavilion during the annual Independence Day fireworks show in Cortez at Parque de Vida on Saturday, July 4.

A group of 6- and seven-year-old girls trap the pig during the Dove Creek Pick ’n’ Hoe celebration on Saturday. The winner gets to keep the pig.
