Within a month of being married, a New Mexico man admitted to threatening to kill his new wife with scissors.
Out of custody, Louie Gonzales, 56, was sentenced to 24 months of supervised probation, which bars him from alcohol and drugs, and mandates domestic violence and mental health evaluations and recommended treatments.
He must also write a letter of apology to victim, and can't leave the state without permission.
Gonzales pleaded guilty to false imprisonment as an act of domestic violence after threatening to kill his bride inside a Mancos motel last December.
