Support our troops with peace now

President Obama said recently, “We are not at war with Islam, we are at war with those who have perverted Islam.” Why? Why are we at war with those who pervert Islam? I couldn’t care less about those who pervert Islam. President George W. Bush started a war with Iraq and now President Obama has our military raining metal hell all over the Middle East. Let me ask you, do you know what country we are dropping bombs in right now? Me neither. Fourteen years. The mission has crept and there is no exit strategy. Screw it. Peace now. Why not?

President Obama went on to say something like, “...it’ll take time... vigilance... perspective.” I say that that is more nonsense from politicos with no skin in the game. Let’s do this. Peace isn’t partisan. “We will not learn to live together in peace by killing each other’s children, “ — Jimmy Carter. “Peace is not absence of conflict, it is the ability to handle conflict by peaceful means,” — Ronald Reagan.

Ask yourself why we are spilling American blood fighting an overseas military that doesn’t even have a navy? Ask yourself when does it stop? Are we going to drop bombs on everyone who hates America? Lastly, ask yourself deep in your heart, are you more threatened by military technology that makes war seemingly risk-free for American teenagers to conduct, or a ragtag enemy that continues the fight by using weapons dropped by our fleeing Islamic “allies?” Support our troops. Peace now. Bring them home. Who’s with me? God bless America.
