A call to all gardeners: Join the fight against hunger by planing one extra vegetable plant in your garden this summer and donating the fresh produce to the Good Samaritan Center Food Pantry.

The pantry provided food to an average of 480 people a month. Donated food will help families who face food insecurity in this community.

Stop by the pantry Monday through Thursday at noon to 2 p.m. to receive a free garden maker to place next to your dedicated plant as a reminder of the people you are helping. The pantry is at 25 S. Beech St., between Blondie’s and the Post Office.

For more information or to show your support, call the pantry at 656-6424 or email Kristen Tworek at kristen.tworek@gmail.com
