Saturday, May 9

7:10 p.m. A man was arrested at Southwest Memorial Hospital after allegedly threatening a doctor and refusing to leave. The man reportedly told medical staff that he had fallen and needed pain killers; however, doctors said could not find anything wrong with the man. The man continued to use vulgar language and mentioned something about a knife in the doctor’s neck. The man was taken to jail and issued a summons for disturbing the peace.

10:29 p.m. Officers received a report of theft of scratch off lottery tickets at a local gas station by an employee who allegedly took the tickets, valued at $900. The woman was issued a summons.

Monday, May 11

7:36 p.m. An officer was flagged down by a woman who said she needed help because her sister was “huffing gas again.” When the officer arrived inside the home, it smelled strongly of gasoline and the officer asked the woman to step outside. She told the officer that she had a long week and was tired of people trying to run her life. Medics arrived on scene to check on the woman. She was asked where she got the gasoline from and she pointed to a small red gas can near the porch and said it came from there and that it belonged to her roommate for his mower. The woman was issued a summons for abusing toxic vapors.

Thursday, may 14

2:58 a.m. Two men were arrested for criminal trespassing and second degree arson after officers found them behind a restaurant located in the 800 block of East Main Street. The men were reported earlier moving a case out of a man’s truck. When they were spotted at the restaurant, officers discovered matches, a fire and the smell of gasoline on scene.
