ASA set to begin training for volunteers

Adaptive Sports Association, a Durango-based nonprofit that provides outdoor and recreational opportunities for people with disabilities, hosts its summer volunteer trainings this month.

Volunteers are needed to assist in daily programming including whitewater rafting, canoeing, kayaking, cycling, camping, rock climbing, fishing and more.

Trainings are free and no experience is necessary. Volunteer raft training will be held on May 27 and June 2. Canoe and kayak training will run May 26 and June 4, and cycling training will run May 28th. Interested volunteers should call 259-0374 or visit asadurango.com to RSVP and for more information."
