The Mancos Town Board is expected to consider the liquor license renewal for the Columbine Bar at its regularly scheduled meeting Wednesday, May 13 at 7 p.m.

Town Administrator Andrea Phillips recommends the board approve the renewal. "There have been no violations in the past 12 months. The Mancos Marshal's Office has no objections to the renewal," she wrote.

Also on Wednesday, the Town Board is expected to discuss the gravel pit/airport property off of Road 42 north of Mancos.

Town officials meet with the Montezuma County Commissioners last week to discuss the property.

"In the discussion, town officials learned that the pit is the only one owned by the county and that it is very important to them," Phillips wrote.

Phillips will update the board on the issue and ask for direction. Twenty-eight acres is ready to be turned back over to the town.

Also Wednesday, board members are expected to discuss public works staffing, a utilities easement on Menefee and problem-solving when it comes to personnel issues.
