“The Raising of America, Early Childhood and the Future of Our Nation,” brings to life the economic studies of Perry Preschool and other initiatives conducted by Nobel laureate James Heckman, Arthur Rolnick and others which illustrate how we can either invest early for success or pay more for failure later.
It plays April 28 at 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Sunflower Theatre, 8 E. Main St., Cortez, and is presented by Rocky Mountain Public Broadcasting System.

Comedian Adrianne Chalepah will present an evening of laughs at the Sunflower Theatre in Cortez on Saturday, April 18, from 7–8 p.m.
Chalepah will be joined by comedian Chizz Bah.
Tickets are available for $20 at sunflowertheatre.org. This event is a fundraiser for the Children’s Kiva PTO.
Couple the comedy show with dinner and drinks at Pepperheads, Stonefish Sushi, and Lounging Lizard, and donations will provide the Children’s Kiva PTO funds to purchase items from teachers’ wish lists.
