Sunday, Jan. 29

2:27 p.m.: A juvenile in Cortez was cited on suspicion of third-degree assault after his mother said he knocked her off a chair during an argument about his grades. She said she gave him the option of improving his grades or going to a military academy or a camp for troubled teens.

Monday, Jan. 30

4:03 p.m.: A man reported that an antique crystal and a grandfather clock, valued at $1,680 and $500, respectively, had been stolen from his Mancos residence. Deputies closed the case at the man’s request after they failed to find the items at local pawn shops.

3:21 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 17000 block of Colorado Highway 145 in Dolores on an active felony warrant. Marijuana plants and leaves were found throughout the home/shop, which had been reported vacant. The deputy planned to inform the drug task force.

8:30 p.m.: A man was cited for DUI in the parking lot at Southwest Community College, 33057 U.S. Highway 160, and released into the custody of a friend.

Tuesday, Jan. 31

3:51 p.m.: A woman was cited for failing to obey a traffic signal after a traffic accident with another car at the intersection of Eighth Street and Railroad Avenue in Dolores. No injuries were reported.

5:19 p.m.: A woman was arrested at Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred Road, on a failure to comply warrant.
