A very dear friend of mine who happens to be a disabled veteran was accosted March 3 in the Cortez Walmart, and not one single person interceded on his behalf. An ignorant young man in his 20s who claimed to be an Army sniper berated and humiliated my friend in the sporting goods section at Walmart. Why was this allowed to happen?
Why did not one single person pick up a phone to call the police?
What is wrong with people today that they think they can treat honest-to-God veterans that way and think there will be no one to answer to for their horrible behavior?
