After a very dry January and February, Dolores residents rejoiced to yet another storm over the weekend.

Warm, wet snow fell over the weekend, making drought worries a little less of a concern, but still not solving the problem.

Flurries continued Tuesday.

Talent showcased

Don't miss tonight's show at the Dolores High School. The Dolores High School Talent Show will be a mixture of acts including dances, singers, improv acts and instrument players. The show starts at 7 p.m. inside the high school gymnasium. Tickets cost $5 and all money goes to local nonprofit groups.

Thank you to the DSLCS students who put this show on.

Local business honored

Four Seasons Greenhouse and Nursery, Inc. joined the ranks of the horticulture industry's top local garden centers when it was named one of Today's Garden Center magazine's Revolutionary 100 Garden Centers for 2015.

The Revolutionary 100 program, which began in 2006, surveys garden center owners and managers on how they run their businesses. These retailers compete in a variety of areas that reveal their business health and how they impact their local communities. The Revolutionary 100 is open to all local garden centers, large and small.

"It's always a thrill for us and our staff to make this very prestigious list.," said owner Vic Vanik. "We've been fortunate enough to be included on this list every year since 2007, have been a regional winner three times and the National Winner in 2013. Each year this competition pushes us to continue to be innovative and creative with our products and marketing."
