Authorities are unsure of the whereabouts of a sex offender released from prison last week.
The Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office has issued an arrest warrant for Eugene Singer, 37, of Cortez. His last known address was Lakeside Trailer Park on CR K.2 near Totten Lake.
The sheriff’s office announced on Thursday, Feb. 19, that Singer had failed to register his address after being released from custody on Feb. 9. A family member told authorities that Singer may be residing on the 200 block of S. Elm Street.
Singer was convicted in 2001 on an unspecified sexual assault charge. He was sentenced in 2004. Additional details were not immediately available.
