FFA raising funds for Kocourek
Cortez FFA is also doing a fundraiser to benefit Hayden Kocourek.
Cortez FFA members are collecting spare change throughout National FFA Week next week. All money collected by Friday, Feb. 20, will be donated to help with Hayden’s medical costs.
If you can’t make it to the fundraiser but would like to contribute, you can drop off donations at the high school ag department or send to Amanda Ramos through school mail. The Cortez FFA Officer Team has set a goal of raising $500.
Farmers Market holds spring meeting
The Cortez Farmers Market invites all of last year’s vendors, and anyone interested in participating in this year’s market, to attend its annual spring meeting Saturday, March 21, in the meeting room of the Southwest Memorial Hospital’s Physician Building, at 20 S. Market St. in Cortez.
The meeting will begin at 2 p.m.
