To the person who tied a dog to a fence post south of Road S on Road 24 to die, I thought you should know it worked. I found your dog dead Tuesday morning and it wasn’t an easy or pleasant death.
Next time you decide to get rid of a pet, think of alternatives: Ask relatives, friends, co-workers or neighbors to take it, put an ad in the paper or flyers around, contact For Pets’ Sake Humane Society or the Cortez Animal Shelter or at least find a humane way to kill it.
Remember-what goes around, comes around and you deserve the same treatment you gave to your dog. The Sheriff’s Office has been contacted.
