The Girl Scouts of Mesa Verde recently had a rally to prepare for their cookie-selling season. They had a contest between the troops to see who could bring in the most donations to Hope's Kitchen for their SOUPer Bowl. The Mancos Brownie Troop 4652 brought in the most. The Girl Scouts brought in a combined amount of 200 pounds. Kiva Montessori Charter School also donated to Hope's Kitchen in support of their SOUPer Bowl. During the week, to show team spirit, the students chose which box to put their cans in - either in a box for the Patriots or a box for the Seahawks. The Seahawks were favored to win. The school donated 143 pounds of food for Hope's Kitchen.
